@kittylover561 They give cats to people with depression? You can bond much more closely with a dog, who actually understands companionship. Cats understand vague association. By the way, it doesn't matter if some smaller breeds of dogs can't do it, it's that there are breeds that can and do. NO cat can help a blind man cross the street or track down criminals. Small dogs were selectively bred to be small and cute - they are irrelevant to this.

@kittylover561 The interactions between a wolf and a mountain lion(which a wolf would win because wolves travel in packs) have NOTHING to do with cats and dogs. This is a moot point to make. Dogs and bears are in the same suborder(caniformia), by the way. What if I said a bear could ravage any feline and that meant that dogs are better than cats? Yeah, it's stupid. Rats are less expensive than cats, aren't they? Another silly point to make about which animal is the superior pet.

@SolidSnakeRules to show that dogs are superior companions because they actually care. A cat lives to be pampered, and when you try to move or go on a road trip or something, cats freak out and you have to keep them in cages because they fear pretty much everything. They do not have the spark of adventure and discovery that dogs and humans share. So, what points have you really made? Cats are less expensive. That's probably true. Dogs destroy furniture, but so do cats.
